Ok, ok, I bet plenty of people are wondering what's been going on. I usually update every day if I can, and then this week when there's actual _substance_ to post for once, nothing for 4 days straight, lol.
But don't worry, that's a good thing (for the most part). I'v been busy training for my new job. It's going rather well. We learn 2 lessons each day, and then we teach them back the next day. My first day of teach backs (Tues) went ok. He told us we were right where we needed to be. Also, since we got to learn the lessons ourself first, I get to work on improving all my skills as well. Yesterdays teach backs went very well, only a few notes over things on the first lesson, and then no notes on the second! ^_^ Today he said I've improved even on yesterday. So I'm pretty excited about that. i was worried that I was going to get here and find out that it was things I wasn't really interested in, and when Im not interested, my preformance always drops. But, nope, I get to be a professional anal retentive nerd now! Yippie!
Also, learning this stuff is pretty cool. I wish Id've known more of this back in college, I might've actually gotten my 4.0 then, instead of the 3.8. Summa wouldve made me happier than Magna. But *shrug* eh whatev. Also, the reading rate thing is still gonna come in handy. I already tripled how fast I can read, and we haven't even learned the speed reading stuff yet.
I'm done w./ my teach backs for the day. My coworked Carrie has 1 more after our lunch is done, then we learn tomorrows 2 lessons. So not a bad day. Tonight I need to catch up on other things, which will be nice. Hopefully I'll have some free time too.
I got my car Monday night. She's a pretty shiny candy apple red 2001 Monte Carlo. She drives like a dream, and has all the uber-fancy automatic stuff that a new car _should_ have. I think everyday I discover at least one more thing to be excited about on her. I need to get her tranny fluid changed and then she'll be perfect. Right now the fluid smells a bit scorched, so prolly Sat I'll go and have her flushed. I'll have a pic or two up later tonight when I get them uploaded. She's so pretty ^^
Well, break's almost over and I need to actually eat still, lol.
Remember guys, I've only got 2 weeks left here now. If you're makin me something for my necklace, get busy. If you wanna see me, now or never. I don't come back til Thanksgiving!
