Xmas shopping made easy for you!
Nov. 19th, 2007 12:16 pmI have now purchased my own Christmas present from _everyone_ I know. I'm hoping you'll read this and if you were thinking of getting me anything for Xmas, you'll go this route *grin!* Here's how this works, lol
My mom calls me last night to tell me that the stand mixer I have been lusting after is now super cheap at Kohl's. I refer to the KitchenAid Professional 600. It's a thing of beauty and it normally costs around $500 at the least. Mom calls to say that it is now on sale for $399 with an additional $50 rebate. That -$150 from normal. Plus then if I signed up online for stupid sale emails, I get an additional 10% off, so that's less another $40, thus making it around 40% off. Charles and I discussed it and decided we'd probably never get a better deal and to go for it.
Thing is, he is now, as of Friday afternoon, officially unemployed. Thus we shouldn't be buying this now. But again, common sense says, buy now, save more. So here's my thought:
Anyone planning on getting me anything for xmas gets a get out of thinking/shopping free card. You can contribute monies of any amount to paying this thing off. Anything from a few bucks to larger amounts within reason (*looks at YOU, Jenna* Behave yourself and don't make me have to rip up a check! ;p) would be awesome. You can do it in whatever form is easiest, even paypal if need be (tho they will charge me fees ;p). And if you already had something in mind, you can go ahead with that instead or you can write a little card that says something like "$x in the stead of (fill in the blank) to contribute to mixer" or whatever.
But there's a bonus. Now that I will have a mixer, I can make many many more baked goods much faster. That means more holiday nummies. And if you contribute, I will let you pick one of the things I make (anything, within reason) and will give you a plate full of it. Yes, even you Ohio people, lol.
So lemme know what you think.
