So I don't want to jinx things, but I feel like I'm finally getting on track with the wedding crap.
For one huge thing, Hurricane Hannah has decided to GTFO as I asked. Thanks North Carolina for taking one for the team!
I also finally feel like I got this sculpting by 50-50 gum paste and fondant blend thing down for the wedding cake decorations. I've got about 1/3 of them made as of last night. And as of this afternoon I have 1/2 of the wedding cake parts baked off and in the freezer. I have one of the hors d'ouvres finished and frozen and am in the middle of making another right now, thereby ending up with 1/2 of that done.* I also organized the giant pile of wedding crap into "finished and ready to go" inside the giant tub, and then piles of related things that I still have to do stuff with. I've also got our pedicures scheduled for next weekend... yes I said OUR. We're having a barefoot wedding. He has ugly feet and I have ones that I don't take care of. The funny thing is I know we're both gonna end up loving it even though it's not the kind of thing we're into, just cause we both like our feet rubbed and they do a massage as part of it :)
I think that if we could just get his pants and the missing wedding vow book in the mail today, I would actually be able to relax a bit.
Also for those of you that are coming, expect to get a phone call from either me or Charles in the next week. I'm going to want to know your travel arrangements (when you're coming and leaving, where you're staying, if you'll have a vehicle, etc) and I'll be asking you to do a few things on the day of the wedding. At this point were down to 20 guests, so we really are gonna need everyone to pitch in that day. But anyways, if you don't have your arrangements yet, try and get 'em done soon. I like all my ducks in a row, and in this days your ducks are part of my ducks. Ducks everywhere.

*Don't get worried about my making all this food now. Charles did, so I think others might, but seriously, this is how one caters a large event; by making everything in advance and simply finishing it off at the last minute. There's only one of me and I do NOT want to cook during my finals week if I can help it.
